위키, 블로그, RSS, 트랙백, FEED... 그리고 캐즘
캐즘이론이란?
어떤 기업의 소비자 계층이 선각수용자에서 전기다수로 이행하는 과정에서 넘기 쉽지 않은 캐즘 즉 깊은 협곡이 존재한다는 것이다. 즉, 많은 벤쳐들이 혁신자와 선각수용자를 합한 6분의 1의 고객을 합친 상황에서 향후 실용적인 구매 계층인 전기 다수를 확보하는 과정에서 쓰러져간다는 것이다.

위와 같은 IT 용어들이 주변에서 많이 사용되고 또 관련 제품들이 나오고 있다.
컴퓨터로 밥벌이 사는 제가
위에 나오는 용어를 이해하고 단점(학습 스트레스)을 극복하고
이를 실제 사용하는데 약간이 시간이 투자해야하고 제대로 사용하려면 많은 시간을 투자해야한다.
그런데 컴퓨터로 밥벌이하지 않는 다른 일반 분들은 어떨까?라는 생각을 해본다.
위키, 블로그, RSS리더 제품들이 특정 타겟(얼리어답터, 기술선각자)을 목표로 서비스하면 모를까
영문용어와 그대로 번역되어 들어온 개념으로는 특정 타겟을 대상으로 서비스할때는 모르겠지만
일반 분들에게는 상당히 이해와 사용이 어렵고 어필하기에는 어렵다고 생각한다.
즉, 수많은 일반 유저가 사용하게 하려면 좀 더 쉬운 단어나 쉬운 개념, 쉬운 UI가 필요하지 않을까?
머 해당 웹서비스만드는 업체가 특정 타켓을 목표로만 사업을 한다면 필요없겠지만...
회사에서 위키와 블로그를 운영하고 구글리더로 구독하고 간혹 트랙백도 날려보고
단점을 극복하고 장점들을 느끼고 있지만
주변동료에게 소개하고 추천해도 그들에게 개념과 학습이 어렵고
왜 필요하지를 영업사원처럼 설명하는 내 자신을 보면서 캐즘이론이 생각나서 한자 적어본다.
그리고 위에 언급한 용어들을 일반인들이 이해하기 쉬운 단어가 없을까 내 생각대로 한번 바꿔본다.
쉽게 개념과 생각이 접근하면 UI설계도 덩달아 나오지 않을까?
또 그러면 캐즘을 극복할 수 있고 말이다.
